Upholstery
Kincaid is introducing eight new frames in their Designer Select series, the company’s upper-end custom program.

The new Manhattan sofa and chair are chic and elegant, with soft flowing lines and a beautiful buttoned skirt treatment.  They are covered in a crisp taupe fabric with a hint of metallic gold thread woven throughout, providing just enough shine to be modern without being glitzy.  The accent pillows of tone-on-tone patterns, petite checks, and soft plaids provide plenty of pizzazz with a metallic shine of their own.

The Bristol sofa, chair, and ottoman feature tall, lightly flared arms, a clean-lined skirt treatment, and intriguing wooden pinecone finials positioned on each corner to add visual interest.  Shown in a soft mustard tone-on-tone fabric, the blue butterfly embroidered pillows create a fresh, relaxing ambience.

The London sofa has a slight crescent-curved front and back, overstuffed flared rolled arms, and a pleated skirt treatment.  Shown in a textured dark cinnamon brown woven pattern, with tapestry accent pillows in shades of beige and brown.

The 114 wing chair features low profile curved arms accented with a nail head trim and beautifully turned dark wood feet.  It is covered in a soft blue and beige plaid with just a hint of sheen.

Fabrics
The word to describe many of Kincaid’s 85 new fabric options this Market is “timeless.”  A variety of metallics, silks, and linens are interspersed with cottons and chenilles.  Hand-applied crewels and embroideries are also prevalent and emphasize the timeless beauty of conventional handcrafted designs. Delicate crewel will be shown with a traditional beige background covered with needlework flowers done in reds, greens, and yellows.  Embroidered patterns include a gathering of beautiful butterflies floating on a soft blue background.

A popular color this season is platinum, and will be shown mixed with rich taupes and deep charcoals for a sophisticated presentation.  Additional color options include mustard, cinnamon, and mineral blue.
